La Casita's Clinical Internship Program is built for students who want more than just observation hours. Located in Atlantic counties in New Jersey, we offer a selective internship that pairs each student with a dedicated supervisor. You’ll receive training in a variety of modalities, learn from hands-on experience.

At La Casita de Esperanza, serving families across Cumberland and Atlantic Counties, diversity is the foundation of how we support and train our clinicians. Our bilingual, culturally competent team understands the unique experiences of Black, Brown, and immigrant communities, and we bring that insight directly into our supervision model.
Diverse perspectives strengthen clinical work. When supervisors and supervisees come from different backgrounds, cultures, and lived experiences, it expands how we understand clients, encourages new approaches, and strengthens the quality of care. It also invites supervisors to reflect on their own biases and assumptions, creating a more equitable and affirming space for learning.
At La Casita, we believe culturally grounded supervision leads to better outcomes for the communities we serve. By centering intersectionality, cultural humility, and real community experience, we prepare social workers to deliver care that is compassionate, relevant, and truly aligned with the people who rely on us.
